7700 HD Projector startup issue

We have a 7700HD projector that has an issue when you turn it on.  The lamp doesn't fully turn on, if that makes sense.  It doesn't display to the screen.  If you put your hand in front of the lamp it shows some light, but not enough to show to screen.  If we shut it off and on again it will usaually work normally. Sometimes you have to a hard power off (press and hold the power button for 10-20 sec)  and then usually works.

Any thoughts?  suggestions?
