Outlook Express Error Message

I keep getting an error message when I try to open or send email through Outlook Express.  When I open the program it just says there are errors, but in the details section, there are none.  Just now, when I was trying to forward an email, the error message was something about a "socket error".

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I downloaded IE7 about 3 weeks ago.  So far, this is the only problem I have had.

I went to Outlook Express.com, Popular Categories, Outlook Express, Fix Outlook Express, and clicked on the link.  The link led me to a site called www.registryfix.com.  Does anyone know anything about this site, and should I perform the scan on my computer?  I'm afraid of doing something that isn't safe to my computer, and from what I've read on these forums, I'm pretty much afraid of messing around with the registry.  I don't want to open up a can of worms, since I'm not exactly tech-savvy.

Thank you in advance for any input/advice.

Hi:

System registry cleaners such as this are of dubious benefit, and often can damage your registry. I would avoid them like the plague.

A better site to explore for answers to your OE error message is here: http://www.insideoutlookexpress.com/

I would also repost your question, quoting the full and exact content of any error message/details, to the "Other Software" board:
