Inspiron 15 3525, My Dell app disappeared?

Inspiron 15 3525

Inspiron 15 3525

I found out that My Dell app allows me to change my battery limits, since I leave my charger plugged in during the day, I changed the limits.

Now My Dell app disappeared, I don't know why? When I search for the name nothing appears, just a folder. The app seems installed but there is no .exe to open?

I installed an app to completely remove it from my lap, then installed it from dell system as it doesn't show up in my windows store MyDell-Application-Full-Installer_CXFV3_WIN_3.0.412.2_A

The error persists and my battery does not charge more than 60% that I had set by mistake. What do I do?

The issue may be caused by an improper Windows Update installation. To assist you with your concern, we suggest that you perform a system restore. This option takes your PC back to an earlier point in time, called a system restore point.

Hi J Soto:

What is the version and build of your Windows OS shown at Settings | System | About | Windows Specifications?

There seems to be an issue with the latest full offline installer for My Dell v3.0.412.2 (MyDell-Application-Full-Installer_CXFV3_WIN_3.0.412.2_A00.EXE, rel. 14-Mar-2023) where installation either fails with an error or the installer runs to completion but My Dell v3.0.412.2 cannot be launched. See hage1983's 11-Jul-2023 post in moosaa's Error 2762 When Installing MyDell, who uninstalled v3.0.412.2 and found that the previous My Dell v3.0.382.1 (MyDell-Application-Full-Installer_DR7D2_WIN_3.0.382.1_A00.EXE, rel. 30-Jan-2023 ; available at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=dr7d2) runs correctly on their Inspiron 13 5330 / Win 11 laptop.

Note that the new My Dell v3.x application is not recommended on the support page <here> for my Inspiron 15 5584 / Win 10 laptop and I must use the small My Dell v2.2.2.4.0 UWP (Microsoft Store) app described in the Dell support article How to Download and Install the My Dell Application. My Dell v2.2.4.0 requires Fusion Service v2.2.14.0 and the installation instructions for this UWP app warns that "Dell Power Manager should be uninstalled before installing the My Dell application".
