Dell E310dw Wifi Direct SSID & Password

As it is now, anytime I want to print from my iPad, I have to drill down into the settings and get the current SSID and Password then reconnect my iPad, then print.  I have to do this every time I want to print.

Is there a way to keep the SSID and password from changing so my iPad will stay connected?

If you find yourself having to reconnect your iPad to your Wi-Fi network every time you want to print, there are a couple of things you can try to make this process more seamless:

  1. Use a static IP address: By assigning a static IP address to your printer, you can ensure that it always has the same IP address on your network. This can help prevent your iPad from having to constantly reconnect to the printer when the IP address changes. To set a static IP address for your printer, consult the printer's documentation or check the manufacturer's website for instructions.

  2. Set up a guest network: Some routers have the ability to create a guest network that has its own SSID and password. You can set up your printer to connect to the guest network, which can help prevent the SSID and password from changing. This can also be a good security measure, as guest networks typically have limited access to your primary network.

  3. Use Wi-Fi Direct: If your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, you can connect your iPad directly to the printer without needing to connect to a Wi-Fi network. This can be a more convenient option if you only use your printer with your iPad and don't need to connect to other devices on your network.

By using one or more of these solutions, you should be able to keep your iPad connected to your printer without having to constantly reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
