Dell C1660W Toner Cartridges Showing Empty

Printer is not reading toner cartridges correctly. I keep getting frequent error messages across all toner colors saying that they are empty and need to be replaced before printing. Some of these cartridges have not reached there life expectancy and are stating to be replaced. At times, i can pop out the toner cartridge, reinsert, and continue printing. Other times, it's not that easy and i must wait. This has gotten very annoying. 

I replaced a cyan cartridge two days ago. I've only printed about 15 pages over the past two days. Today, I get a pause in printing and error message saying it needed to be replaced. Luckily, the printer continued to work after I removed and reinserted the cartridge. It's not always this easy. Please assist. I'm not sure what needs to be done and this is getting very frustrating every time it occurs.
