1660W printer clicks and won't print unless you hold down the top of it

My 1660W printer has just started making a very loud clicking noise while refreshing and printing. And if you don't press down (hard) on the top of the printer, the paper jams every print. I currently have a box with 6 bricks in it holding the top down but I'd really like to get a real fix for this issue. I know they don't make this printer any longer (or any printer, for that matter lol) but I LOVE this printer and don't want to give it up
