Irregular recharging time in Dell Precision 7530

My Dell was used for 3-4 years and I had no problems with the battery until this month. I noticed that the recharging time was really weird, sometimes it would recharge like normal (i.e. recharging while running, recharging time takes 1 hour give or take), but most of the time it would not recharge while running, and the recharging time is really slow (3 hours for 20%).

I tried recharging while using the Dell and it gets laggy, but when I pull off the charger (then it runs on its battery), its performance improves and it doesn't lag at all. So maybe this is the problem of weak electricity input?

Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Here is a battery report. Maybe this will help.

Is the system repeatedly disconnecting from the AC adapter off and on?  If so, the issue is usually with the DC plug on the adapter or the jack in the system.

If not, you may have a thermal issue -- has the system ever had a thorough internal cleanout and replacement of the thermal pads that sit between the CPU/GPU heat slug and the heatsink?  If not, that's overdue -- the system could be throttling due to excess heat.

@ejn63 Maybe it's the DC plug. I just found out that sometimes when I plug in and plug off the charger cable several times, then at one time it would recharge like normal.
