Generally a charging issue is caused either by a battery that needs replacement, an adapter problem, a DC jack issue, or a problem with the charging circuit on the MB. Have you tried another adapter yet? Also run diagnostics, F12 at boot, and watch for any adapter or battery problems.

Based on being able to post here suggests the machine is working but it suggests the battery is roadkill so it needs to be replaced
