T5810 HDD_Fan Connector

Where can I get an adapter for this port... or at least... does anyone know the pin layout of it?

I want to use that port in order to get an extra fan in the case

There is no one size fits all for all fans or all dell models.

YMMV

Use sata power or an adapter

Dell does not use standard headers or wiring (Sometimes) YMMVDell does not use standard headers or wiring (Sometimes) YMMV

I did buy the fan 5 pin adapter, but I'm hesitating on connecting it

I've read that connecting it with wrong pins could damage motherboard, and I would use sata to molex and then to fan but I've already daisy chained 2 x 3'5 HDD's, SSD and dvd-rw

What can I do?

Indeed using splitter molex/sata works really well if you don't want to mess with bios throwing up errors on that fan_hdd connector You just have to be mindful of the cpu grill where the case has latch lock 92mm don't fit on there

YMMV I bought a Dell fan adapter cable from Amazon. I’m not sure of the exact model, but it accepted a 4 pin standard fan cable. @speedstep has provided the correct information. I’d rather go with the adapter than having to spliced cable. My first attempt didn’t work. Either my fingers are too big or the wires too small, I wasn’t able to get it to work. Anyways, I attached the fan cable to the adapter. Then I plugged it into the hdd_fan_1 spot. The fan turned on as expected.
