Replacement parts finder for a particular model

How to find replacement parts for a workstation (in this case Precision T5810) ?

Official Dell parts finder returns only items like disks, memory or expansion cars, but I cannot find PSU units, cables, etc. For example all PSU units that I found (either new or used) seem compatible, but each has different code, so I am not sure if all are compatible. Thank you.

Im not going to specify or quantify links from the planet earth where I  do not have said parts in my hand.

You will have to decide what your price and risk factors are.

I do not work for dell nor do I work for any random link on the internet.  YMMV

Actually not, they're two versions, different connectors.

I took another look and I think they are identical. The tracks are just different when you look from the top and the bottom of the curcuit connector.

Calm down buddy, I was just asking if what you ordered was one of these. Of course I will have to take some risk, because Dell would not tell me what I need exatly and what I should avoid (I contacted technical support and sales, and unfortunately they do not know anything). Your access to PPID database and experience with these things is my best source of information at the moment. Could you share a link to your order ?

So it looks like the D1300EF-XX 1300W models are the ones, not the H1300EF-XX

@speedstep you may want to verify your order.

D1300EF-XX 1300W  is made by Delta

https://www.deltapsu.com/en

H1300EF-XX 1300W is made by Hipro

https://www.hi-pro.tw/

No Idea what you are getting at. The maker is different what it fits is not. The thing that counts is the DPN

Ask  @DELL-Chris M

I do not have access to the Dell databases anymore because I no longer work as a field service engineer.   I'm in management now and not allowed to get my hands dirty anymore.

Thanks for sharing the manufacturer code.

If you check information from @DELL-Chris M, he specifically says Delta.

From my side, all PSUs with V5K16 code I was able to find so far were made by Delta.

@speedstep  In your opinion, why is the Dell parts database so hush-hush these days? I can understand their position for current models, but not for superceded ones.

I have not been a member here for long, but most of the questions seem to be about older parts. It would surely make it easier for everyone if Dell released a list.

If my memory serves me right, it wasn't always like this. I started off with a Dell 650, followed by several later models, and distinctly recall that information was freely available back then.

I ordered many obscure parts: CPU clips, heatsinks. VRM modules, etc, etc. without a hitch. It seems that this is no the case, unfortunately!

I started of with an IBM PC and later a PC's Limited Turbo PC.  My computer skill and knowledge go back many decades before that however to Items like the APPLE computers from 1977.  Further back its mostly military and university computers because you had to dial into them via 300 baud modem like in the 80's movie WAR GAMES.

I will neither confirm or deny anything.

I have no opinion.

Non disclosure agreements have no sunset.

They are lifetime gag orders.

I doubt either DELL or I would ever answer any such question.

@DELL-Chris M could you please confirm that only V5K16 manufactured by Delta would work with T5810 and none of the other 1300W models ?

I am attaching a side-by-side picture where I found two differences between T31JM by Hipro (left side, it is more common) and V5K16 by Delta (right side). Could you please see if those physical changes are exactly what makes them incompatible ? Just so that we understand this better. Thank you.

@speedstep So, you are a "space cowboy"? Watch the movie, if you haven't already!
