Nvidia A4500 on a Dell T5610?

Hi everyone,

Can I install an NVIDIA A4500 on a Dell Precision T5610 with two Xeon E5-2650 v2 processors?

Thanks!

If you have a 825w power supply, it will have a 8-pin VGA power connector to support the 200w A4500.  Yes, it will certainly work.

If you have a 685w PSU, it's will run but merely enough power to keep up when your system is loaded with dual Xeon, a bunch of spinning drives, and load of high duty fans.

The question is also about the difference in frequency between the Xeon 2650 v2 and the Nvidia A4500.
Is it possible to create a huge bottleneck in the process due this detail?

Thanks.

That is entirely depending on general tasks, processor intense tasks, or graphic intense tasks.  The overall performance of your workstation can not keep up with the RTX A4500.  You may consider to spend a little ($15) to upgrade the CPU to a pair of Xeon E5-2680 v2.

An example of intense graphic tasks calculation is below.

@Chino de Oro  Yes, it is obvious and it was one of the issues I had in mind, I was looking for the latest processor supported by Ivy Bridge board.

Thank you very much!
