Dell Precision T5810 will not recognize a MSI Spatium M371 1TB SSD Connected via Dell DPWC300 Adapter (2 Slot)
Good afternoon.
I have been trying to install a new SSD on my wife's computer for just under 12 hours now, and I have checked and tried ALL of the other methods available. I need some help here.
Methods tried:
- Using PCIe slot 1 (boots normally, no drive detected in BIOS/Windows 10)
- Using PCIe slot 4 (will not boot/POST)
- Using Clover to attempt to load Windows 10 with NVME Drivers (not detected)
- Using Clover to attempt to install Windows 10 on the desired drive (fails to load)
I just wanted to surprise my wife with a new, fast drive for her computer and it has turned into a complete nightmare. Not going to lie, I'm getting very close to keeping the valuable parts, hawking this box, and building her a fresh rig from scratch.
DXDIAG details:
Any help is appreciated.

You may want to install this Intel driver to manage storage drive being installed on a PCIe slot Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Management Console
Set SATA operation mode to AHCI if performing a clean Windows installation.

Made some progress:
So now my PC is recognizing that adapter, but it is recognizing the drive as an "ATAPI" Device.
Any recommendations?

The drive being highlighted is an optical drive. Expand and check the first NVMe devices if any.
