Dell Keyboard KB900 lost connection with the Dell Secure Receiver after updating to 1.0.6.4

After updating to 1.0.6.4 firmware, my Dell Keyboard KB900 lost its connection to the Dell Secure Wireless receiver. The Bluetooth is still working. I tried to reconnect the keyboard to its receiver by turning it off and then on while pressing any key for a few seconds. I can confirm that the Dell Secure Link Receiver is listed under HID in Device Manager.
I'm on Windows 10 and have tried two different workstations, but I am still looking for a solution.

Confirmed - DO NOT UPGRADE your Dell Peripheral Manager software, even if nagged to do so by Dell - it has a bug in the keyboard firmware update!!!

I sadly accepted the software update v1.7.6 today (23rd Aug 2024), which updated the programme itself, as well as the firmware for my MS900 mouse and my KB900 Premium Keyboard....the keyboard is now completely 'dead' and can no longer connect to the Dell Secure Wireless receiver (USB dongle), even though the Secure Link Receiver device itself is still found as above (and the mouse still works, which connects using the same reciever).

The workaround until Dell fix this and release another 'firmware update' is to switch your Dell KB900 keyboard to a bluetooth channel and pair this way instead, but this connection isn't as secure.

Dell - Please TEST your updates before pushing them to customers....not impressed!
