Ive deployed a couple of dozens of PowerStores with file server enabled. You have the option of integrating into your AD/LDAP if not the "local" mode for permissions is quite robust, it allows you to create users/groups through text files and despite the time it takes to build everything its highly customizable.
Ive had some issues with controller failover and the NAS service as it takes a couple of seconds to catch up and transfers can be cut, but with the newer versions it has improved. Performance is as expected on 25 or 10Gbps networks, bottlenecks normally happen when you use the NAS with standard uses connected on their 1Gbps ports.
