Powerpath automation

Hi All,

i have a question (below) and i'm hoping someone may have tried this before and can provide some guidance. I need to find out how to automate the installation of Powerpath in a Unix environment. The Unix team want Powerpath to get installed (or updated) as part of an automated Unix package rollout. Here's what i got from the Unix team:

Both processes [#1 & #2 below] are manual. Reason is that Redhat Satellite maintains kernel version/level for OS packages only. EMC Powerpath is a separate piece of software installed on top of OS. We do refresh 5.6 package as a workaround to make things work whenever initscripts are updated (it can get updated even if kernel is not upgraded to higher version). We have seen instances with Powerpath libraries having issues during startup and refresh is just a way to get around that problem

Does anyone have any guidance on how to do this?
