License server down question
In an environment using served licenses and the license server goes down and then an ESX server reboots will it maintain its license when it comes back up or would it need to talk to the license server to get a license. I'm trying to figure out if the license server is down and an ESX server reboots after getting a license would it lose the license and access to the SAN LUNs.
My understanding is that once an ESX server is registerd and obtains a license from the Powerpath license server the ESX maintains that license across reboots even if the license server is down.

Alex,
In an environment using served licenses, the PowerPath/VE license information will persist across reboots, regardless of the license server status. The ESX server will not lose the PowerPath/VE license.
