Hi Jean,
You may refer to the Installation guide available at
Refer to Chapter - 3 (configuring a powrpath boot device on aix)
https://support.emc.com/docu32216_PowerPath_for_AIX_5.5_Installation_and_Administration_Guide.pdf
Ensure that the Failover mode on clariion is set to 3 or 4
You would have to uninstall EMC.CLARiiON.fcp.MPIO.rte and install EMC.CLARiiON.aix.rte
Since this is boot from SAN - ensure you refer to section "PowerPath and the bosboot tool"

Hi Jean,
You have to uninstall the existing EMC ODM MPIO filesets & install the EMC ODM FCP fileset for Powerpath.
Since, you have booted off SAN, uninstallation of existing EMC ODM fileset is not permitted. So, You have to change the existing 'EMC CLARiiON FCP MPIO' in ODM to reflect as 'Other FC MPIO' devices using a boot change script. This script is part of EMC ODM bundle & will be installed on the host. The default location
/usr/lpp/EMC/CLARiiON/bin/boot_change_v3.tar
Extract the tarball & Refer 'boot_change.README'. That has the step by step procedure.
Note: If there is a need to migrate from existing mpio san booted host to powerpath
san booted host, the failover mode must be changed from "1" to "3" AFTER the steps are performed.
