server replacement SSD drive [server R750]
Hello! I have a brand new server Dell R750 and it has 2 SSD drives (480 GB, manufactured by Micron based on the part number) in RAID1, and I bought for replacement a new ssd, but the new one is from Samsung, same disk size, but different part number (but still with Dell brand on it). Are there any complications from using different internal manufactures for the drives, in the RAID array, even if both drives are compatible (Dell branded) with this specific model of the server?
Thank you in advance,

Hi, to avoid any complications, you should use the same type of SSDs in a RAID array, whether they are SATA or NVMe. The vendor or brand of the SSDs does not matter as long as they are compatible with the server and have the same size and specifications.

Hello as long as it is the same SATA SSD, the vendor doesn't matter. :)

Thank you for your kind response! When you are saying same SATA SSD you are reffering to the ports of the hdd (like Sata vs NVMe)? Or just to be on the compatible page of the server + same size and sata type?
