Jiyaudeendell,

You can view the existing versions within the Lifecycle Controllers (F10 at startup), under the Firmware Update tab. You would be able to see them as they display below..

If the server can't be downed then you can run a Dset report on the server, in order to get the same information.

Let me know if this helps answer your question.

Hello Chris, Can the same be queried from command line or this output we see in lifecycle controller screen can be exported please?

/opt/dell/srvadmin/bin/omreport system version

will print out

Version report for all updateable components.

Example output[notice just omreport is probably sufficient if the $PATH variable is setup correctly]:

# omreport system version
Version Report

---------------------
Main System Chassis
---------------------

Name : BIOS
Version : 1.4.0

Name : BMC
Version : 1.54.00 (Build 22)

----------
Software
----------

Name : CentOS Linux
Version : release 8.1.1911 (Core) Kernel 4.18.0-147.5.1.el8_1.x86_64 (x86_64)

Name : Server Administrator
Version : 9.4.0

-----------------------------
Storage Controller Firmware
-----------------------------

Name : PERC H700 Integrated
Version : 12.10.4-0001

Name : 6Gbps SAS HBA
Version : 07.03.05.00

If this doesn't have all the info needed, search through the various other commands and options of omreport (e.g. omreport -?; omreport system -? etc.)

Also, here's sample ouput of another useful command:

# omreport storage controller
List of Controllers in the system

Controller
ID : 0
Status : Non-Critical
Name : PERC H700 Integrated
Slot ID : PCIe Slot 4
State : Degraded
Firmware Version : 12.10.4-0001
Minimum Required Firmware Version : 12.10.7-0001
...

So this one is a lot more specific and tells you more info, but I just wanted to point it out since it can tell you whether the firmware is up to date.
