PowerEdge R720 and nVidia GRID K2 issue?
Hi.
I am having very weird issue with GRID K2
When I install the card, I am unable to boot.
System looks like its getting booted but right before RAID controller initialize, the screen turns like this.
The GRID K2 is known working GPU and I connected Riser power cable as well.
R720 system bios has been updated to latest as well as H710 Mini firmware
Has anyone seen such crash? I cannot find any reference of such case.

Is there specific BIOS setting that I need to apply before I use GRID K2?

The only BIOS setting that may be relevant that comes to mind is the option to "disable integrated video controller." The integrated video controller is part of the iDRAC and disabling it will cause the virtual console to not work, but I've repeatedly seen conflicts between add-in cards and the iDRAC. The Grid K2 isn't a card I'm particularly familiar with, but you might try it.
I haven't seen this type of distortion with video before, though. Have you noticed any issues with any other PCI cards, since this GPU is a known good card?

Hi,
I think the option you are talking about is "Embedded Video Controller"
I cannot disable this option and its grayed out.
Also, when I install K2, I cannot even go into BIOS setting because of above crash.

I thought about compatibility issue with either network daughter board or raid card because this happen right between initializing both interfaces.
So I removed both of them and turns out the issue is still there
Now, Im really lost and I dont know what is causing this issue.
No one reported such issue anywhere except me...
