Failed SUU Update
Hello,
We have a Dell PowerEdge T330 server. We downloaded the applicable SUU from dell's website. We mounted the SUU, and ran the SUU launcher. We were able to get several updates successfully. However, the update with a "Component" name of "OpenManage | iDRAC Service Module" failed. SUU says the current version is 3.3.1 and the newer ver. is 4.3.0.0. Does anyone know why this update would have failed, when SUU said that there was an update to get for this?
Since the update failed in SUU, we considered downloading the "iDRAC Service Module" software from Dell's website. We found this on dell's website: Dell EMC iDRAC Service Module for Windows, v4.1.0.0. However, this version listed on Dell's website is older than what SUU says is the latest version. Does anyone know why we can't find the latest version of this software on Dell's website? And, if we do end up installing the newer version of Dell EMC iDRAC Service Module for Windows, v4.1.0.0, do we need to uninstall the old version prior to installing the newer, or do we simply install the newer version on top of the older version?
Thank you.
