Can the Dell PCIe x16 NVMe adapter P/N: 80G5N be compatible with Poweredge T440

Hi, Apparently this adapter P/N 80G5N is compatible with Dell 14Gen R540 R740 R640, if this is the case then can be also compatible with 14Gen T440 ?, I am researching about this and so far by at least sellers at Amazon and ebay are arguing as compatible with R540 R740 R640, below I add links and some details, thank you for the help

P/N: 80G5N. This Dell-brand PCIe x16 NVMe adapter can host up to 4x NVMe M.2 solid state drives and is compatible with:Dell 13Gen R630 R730 and 14Gen R540 R740 R640

I have found also this Amazon seller which is  listing this adapter as C/N: ‎6N9RH and offering to configure this device as a bootable drive

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0719SY7QR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3H2707P76WRH8&psc=1

This Dell-brand PCIe x16 NVMe adapter can host up to 4x NVMe M.2 solid state drives, providing super fast I/O of up to 9GB/s sequential read and 6GB/s sequential write speeds. This product is natively supported by recent generation of Dell Precision workstations (T5810, T7810, T7910, and R7910). Other systems with PCIe bifurcation support will need to change the BIOS settings for enabling PCIe 3.0 x16 bifurcation (x4x4x4x4). The item for sale is a brand new product coming directly from the factory. It has never been installed on a computer, containing unformatted drives that will be recognized as 4x independent disks. This is recommended for power users who understand how to use command line tools to create a RAID 0 storage space pool under Windows 8/10 or logic volume under Linux; as well as Windows 7 users who need to create a dynamic volume. A GUI interface provided by the operating systems (except for Windows 7) does not allow users to create such stripped (RAID 0) volumes, which may result in a significant performance loss. Please contact us if you want to configure the device as a bootable or non-bootable drive preformatted in RAID 0.

Hello, I looked up and that looks like for workstation models, not for a server. I don't think it'd be compatible.

Respectfully,

I don't care that it doesn't fit! We see a model of another product

@DELL-Young E Ok many thanks, well I got more compatibility  info about this same adapter at Newegg which again is arguing is compatible with Dell rack servers 13Gen R630 R730 and 14Gen R540 R740 R640 Server 06N9RH 6N9RH 080G5N 80G5N and I attach link below, anyway I have found another different and even more intresting Dell NVMe adapter XPXCG BOSS-4P Boot Optimized Server Storage M.2 SSD Adapter for 14Gen rack servers Dell R740 R640, link and photo below, if this adapter is made specifically for 14Gen Dell rack servers I dont see the reason why cannot fit and work with same 14 generation Dell towers servers, can you tell your take about this BOSS-4P NVMe adapter please?, thank you very much

Hi,

first of all, if you want full support you should order this at our hotline.

You could ask newegg for any assistance with their products.

The 1st link provides a PCIe adapter only.

I don't recommend XPXCG for R740 and R640.
