R630 PSU fan turn on and off while is in standby/Off

Hi I own two r630 but when is in standby/off the power supply fan kick in and off it is normal?

I had try to make a clear video but is not so easy

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell. after all, you can't control PSU fan I'm afraid. Also what was recorded looks alright to me.

Me too. After I place it in maintenance mode > shutdown from ESXi… it appears to be off… ie can’t eject disk or anything… but exactly 1m 25s later the fan spins up for about 15s and goes silent again. This repeats indefinitely.  

Reason: Some post said it is used to keep the CPU cooled. And ofc we all notice it cause we use these little servers in a quiet space, like at home. 

Workaround: Disconnect physical power

Other: Dells response is pretty bad here. : /

I am seeing the same problem. @DELL-Young E this is not a normal behavior! At most it is a sugar coated issue that you folks don't want to fix.

Hello, I am unsure whether this is the case for you or for the other users that might come across the issue in the future:
If you happen to be using 2 PSUs, not having the same powersetting may cause the fan issue. Hope the article below helps.
