Arrangement of Inlet Temperature Sensors 13/14Gen PowerEdge

Hello,

Please tell me where the intake air temperature sensors are located in PowerEdge 13/14Gen servers. My inlet temperature reading that I got with the thermometer does not match the inlet sensors.

Understanding their locations would help me in deciding where the servers are located.

Thanks in advance.

It took some looking through internal docs, but I was able to confirm that in the case of both the R440 and R640, the temperature sensor is located on the right control panel.

Thank you for your attention to my problem.

I am more interested in sensors in R640, R440 servers.

Hello,

We don't have schematic access, so this information may not be available. I'm happy to look and see what I can find, but I would need to know what model servers you have to do so. My suspicion is that the sensor would be incorporated into the control panel, but that's only a suspicion.

How about r730? Where are the temp sensors located? Is there any docs or reference?

Frrr,

With the R730 the inlet temperature sensor is also on the control panel, as with all 13/14th generation servers.

Unfortunately I am not finding any documents publicly facing stating that.

Let me know if this helps.

Good morning!
I have issue with R650 too.
The error is

SEL1514 The Inlet Temp Sensor is not responding or is not working properly. The status of Sensor health is critical.

As the conversation above stated that the sensor is on the right control panel. I cannot find the right control panel. Is it the circuit board of the power button? Or the sensor intergrated on the motherboard?
Appreciate for any help.Kind regards,

Hello,

You may try first reseating the right control panel cables:

This is the part number for the right control panel with cable.

This is a Service part number and they do not typically come up on the web site.

You would need to contact Sales then ask for the Spare Part Department to get a quote and purchase this part number.
