Oracle RMAN backing up to DD
A question from Oracle Specialist Community:
Have you been seeing any bugs with certain versions of Oracle with backing up to DD using RMAN..
Is there any 1 version or release level that comes to mind.. ? It may be that there are less bugs with each new release of Oracle and backing up to DD, but then again, you never know what new undocumented feature, or new feature, Oracle introduces that may conflict with vendor software / hardware..
Have any of your customers encountered issues related to the RMAN incremental merge feature in 11g with Data Domain..

Answer from EMC BRS team:
You mean RMAN over NFS or RMAN over Boost ? Boost supports 10g and 11g and there are no field known defects.
