【EMC Proven Solutions Introduction】 EMC Protection Platform for Oracle Exadata
Oracle Exadata infrastructures demand backup/recovery and disaster recovery (DR) solutions are agile, resilient and efficient. This EMC proven solution demonstrates three use cases where EMC technologies extend the Oracle Exadata production environment to provide disaster recovery, backup and recovery with deduplication, and rapid provisioning of testing and development (test/dev) environments. Please refer to the below link at Everything Oracle at EMC community:
https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-19000
Use case 1: Oracle Exadata protection and DR with Oracle Data Guard and EMC VNX
Oracle Data Guard uses an EMC VNX5300 as the target array for an Oracle standby database. This illustrates the ability to use a non-Exadata target for protecting an Exadata database
Use case 2: Oracle Exadata backup and recovery with Oracle RMAN and EMC Data Domain
EMC Data Domain DD670 is deployed in the Oracle Exadata backup and recovery infrastructure and automatically deduplicates and compress the original Oracle Exadata production database during backup. Furthermore, a Data Domain appliance is an application-agnostic backup target that integrates seamlessly and non-disruptively with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and requires no modification to existing backup scripts or architecture.
Use case 3: Rapid Oracle database provisioning of Oracle test/dev environments with EMC Replication Manager
The EMC VNX5300 target array for the Oracle Exadata standby database enables agile and efficient cloning and repurposing of the standby database using EMC Replication Manager. With Replication Manager’s wizard-driven GUI, you can create Oracle database instances for testing and development in seconds.

Simon
there are three short new demo's available on the EMC Demo Center. The demo's take each of the use cases described in this white paper EMC Protection Platform for Oracle Exadata.
The links to the demo's are here
Scenario 1 - DataGuard Standby database on VNX
Scenario 2 - Data Domain DD670 backup target for Exadata
Scenario 3 - Replication Manager and VNX rapid deployment on test/dev environemnt from Exadata
