Power usage of 7060 SFF

Hi,
I am considering buying a 7060 SFF to run as a small home server. It will be on most of the day therefore power consumption is quite important to me.

-> has anyone measured power consumption of 7060 SFF at idle (measured at wall) ?

I know from STH that the micro version eats up roughly 12 -13 watts. However I would need information on SFF.

Thanks in advance,
Jacek

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

"power consumption is quite important to me."

Then Get a 7060 Micro.

Huge difference between 260W and 90W.

Hi SpeedStep,

Thanks for trying to help. However this is not what I was asking for. I know that I can easily look up the PSU wattage in the specs. This defines the maximum power consumption of the PC.

I would like to know the real power consumption of 7060 SFF at idle (i.e. with only OS running).
Could you measure it with e.g. kill-a-watt power meter ?

Thanks in advance,
Jacek

There is no one size fits all for that because there are many different configurations.

You can get a device that will tell you.

Hello SpeedStep,

I would like to know the power consumption of the unit before buying it. I know it will vary between the units and will depend on # of DIMMs, # of HDDs/SSDs installed in the system. That is normal.

If you have access to 7060 SFF
-> could you measure its power consumption at idle and post it with the system config (# of RAM sticks, HDDs/SSDs).

Thanks in advance,
Jacek

This is not a question that I am going to research.

Suffice it to say it will not use more than 200w.

5vsb uses 20W (System OFF)

Idle that meets energy star requirements is specific also.

I have a dell optiplex 7060 SFF and it idles anywhere between 15 to 30 watts. Now, i'm not sure if this is correct (I would have thought it would draw more) but here are my specs:
32GB of RAM.

1 M.2 SSD at 4TB.

1 video card (AMD Radeon R5 430).

i7-8700 processor.

and I cheapa PCI-E Wifi card.

So I can possibly put this to rest for everyone.
