While I do not have the Dell part number as requested, I just want to point you to a comprehensive list of the OptiPlex Plus 7010.  The list contains many parts so you may have to go through and finding which one is the compatible for your needs.  Credit to @redxps630 , a community contributor with vast knowledge.

Thanks Red for responding with a double checking.  From the user manual, it appears to me that Dell still uses very similar brackets as those from previous models.  For 2.5" brackets, try Dell part number X9FV3.  A comparison between these two is below for reference.

Comparing to previous OptiPlex models, X9FV3 bracket.

X9FV3 model looks same to picture but it quite different.
I've already bought amazon.com/gp/product/B01DRV10L6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00
and it not fit. It is not easy to understand form the pucture but the form of rails and size of the lock are differnet.

The 7010 tower plus and 7010 tower have different chassis internal design.  they are launched same time in 2023.

OP did not say which model.

One quick way to differentiate the two model: look at rear side

7010 tower plus: three DP port

7010 tower: two DP port

for 7010 tower plus (which should have been named “9010 tower” b/c it’s high end model)

the 3.5” is mounted via a caddy on top of dvd drive

7010 tower board:https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/optiplex-7010-desktop/opti_tower_7010_om/removing-the-system-board?guid=guid-454114bb-d77d-4b3d-b085-1427e4554683&lang=en-us

the 7010 tower looks like an entry level model with two dimm slots, which should have been named “3010 tower”.  Dell had used 3000 series monicker for entry level model in the past.

This board has 4 dimm slots.

Back to OP question:

7010 tower (non plus) uses metal cage which Dell also used in previous model

note the Dell manual is full of inconsistency and irrelavant info.  they released the model in a hurry and did not clean up documentation mess.

Removing the 2.5-inch hard drive assembly

But if it is 7010 tower plus, then Dell uses the blue caddy.
Since Op mentioned "it not fit", sounds like OP's model is 7010 tower plus.

OP is correct that the manual pic of caddy is different from Amazon pic below.  when I chatted with Dell sales as usual they insist the amazon caddy is the same as manual and fits spec.  not helpful again.

It's kind of expected.  Dell is not in business of selling spare parts.  They have only limited catalog for parts and accessories.  Users can get better help from the community for information and guidance.

It just matter of users with the same machine model willing to pull the caddy out for Dell part number.

The correct 2.5 caddy for 7010 tower+ is DP/N YHNFX

https://roabel.com/product/1b51r9f00-600-yhnfx-dell-optiplex-7080mt-7071mt-3080mt-5880mt-xps-8940-2-5-drive-caddy-tray-enclosure/

OP got the incorrect caddy on Amazon DP/N X9FV3, which has a smaller more square looking baseplate.
