clear Dell desktop pc cmos
If your desktop computer was produced before April 2020, the computer most likely has a jumper-based reset.
Desktop computers manufactured after April 2020 use the RTC Reset ability.
For desktop computers that use RTC Reset, hold the power button for 30 seconds.
If it is Optiplex series 6 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_OptiPlex)
or later model, it does not have CLR CMOS jumper

another rule: if the Dell desktop has Intel 10th gen or later cpu, no CLR CMOS jumper.
and in 2024, all Dell desktops older than the above have CMOS battery at least 5 years old and can be replaced.
