ObjectScale builds on the trusted, proven Dell EMC ECS codebase and takes it to the next level.

ECS as its basis to deliver a new software-defined, microservices-based architecture using Kubernetes. Dell Technologies now offers two complementary enterprise-class object storage options: ECS great for traditional workloads/applications and ObjectScale optimal for modern, cloud-native application development in VMware or Red Hat Open Shift environments.

ObjectScale was born from Dell Technologies industry leading object storage platform ECS and will have a data-in-place upgrade path for existing ECS customers in future ObjectScale releases.
