ObjectScale API compatibility with ECS hardware API?

We are a software company and would like to test compatibility using Dell ObjectScale. Several of our customers use Dell ECS hardware, and we also recommend hardware to some of our customers.  Is the ObjectStore API 100% compatible with the ECS hardware API?  Or are there documented differences we should look out for? 

Or is there another method for a small software company to test Dell ECS compatibility without purchasing a hardware array ourselves? 

Any suggestions?
