Raid - Initialization fails

I have a R710 with the 2.5 inch hard drives.  I had generic hard drives in it at the beginning.  These were (8) 900GB Model: TP11001000900A hard drives running a raid 5 I believe.  It didn't have any problems raiding these drives and running them on an ESXI box.

I purchased (8) 2TB HP Enterprise Hard Drives Model:  SAVN2000S5xeN7.2 brand new.  When installed and in the raid controller configuration all drives spin up and say ready.  I set the raid to 10 and do all the configuration that are needed with no problems.  Once I tell it to initialize the disk, all disk come up as failed.  I need some help to determine why they are failing.

The R710 bios and drivers are all updated to the newest release, but yet they still fail to initialize.  I have the Perc 6/I raid controller.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If any more information is needed please let me know as I need to get this resolved so I can finish setting up a new server (2016) on it.

Hello.

Confirm whether or not these hard drives are Dell certified drives. This is common with drives that are not validated to function on Dell servers due to mismatch in firmware with the RAID controller.

I thought these drives were Dell certified drives.  How do I validate that they are certified drives for the R710?

Provide the part numbers on the drives so that I may check for you? Dell certified drives normally have Dell stickers on them.
