2008 OEM software will not install states drivers are missing.

I have the restore discs for the 2008 server R2, after the system boots from the cd it states there are missing drivers and no matter what disk is used thee installation cannot continue.  I have unpacked all the drivers on to another cd but the dvd rom does not seem to find it, nor is the drive recognized. the drive has been replaced as well.
