WD15 Docking station not able to connect to a laptop

Hi,

I had recently bought a WD15 docking station, but from the start I was unable to connect DS to my Dell laptop(Precission 5530). My laptop is (as far as I know) compatible with WD15 and I have all the necesary drivers downloaded and BIOS updated to the latest version. When I plug DC into my computer, nothing happens(no message or any indication that DS is connected or recognised). Also the light on usb-C conector works (indication that WD15 works and is pluged in and the cable works).

I had also tried to plug WD15 to other computers and it is unrecognisable.

Does anyone have any idea what else I can do?

Regarding your first question, whether the dock would be seen in device manager as a Thunderbolt 3 device, it's possible that the dock could be recognized as a Thunderbolt 3 device by the operating system. However, this will depend on the specific dock you use and how it's connected to the Thunderbolt 4 port on your machine.

As for your second question, warranty policies can vary depending on the seller and the manufacturer. It's important to check the warranty information provided by the seller and the manufacturer before making a purchase. Some manufacturers may honor warranties for products purchased from authorized resellers, regardless of the country of purchase. It's recommended that you check the warranty information for the specific product you're interested in and contact the manufacturer if you have any questions or concerns about warranty coverage.
