Dell KB7120

Inspiron 7506 2-in-1

Inspiron 7506 2-in-1

My keyboard will not set channel 1 into discovery mode so I can connect it to another computer.. I hold the button down for channel 1. It never starts blinking it just goes off.. I know it doesn't enter discovey mode because it doesn't show up on the list. Channels 2 and 3 work properly but Channel 1 appears to be dead. The system it came with is still under warranty but I don't know if the KB7120W is covered by that. It is not a cheap keyboard. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks

It sounds like there may be a hardware issue with the Channel 1 button on your keyboard. If Channels 2 and 3 work properly, it's unlikely to be a problem with your computer or the wireless receiver.

Since your keyboard is still under warranty, the best course of action would be to contact the manufacturer or the vendor you purchased it from and explain the issue. They should be able to advise you on whether the keyboard is covered by the warranty and how to proceed with a repair or replacement.

If your keyboard is not covered by the warranty, you may be able to find a local repair shop or technician who can take a look at it and diagnose the issue. However, be aware that this could be costly and may not be worth the expense for a single non-functioning button.
