Bluetooth

My Bluetooth headphones and earbuds occasionally break on my laptop, and I think that this might be related to an outdated driver. The update doesn't install on my machine after running the installer when I try to install the most recent version of the Bluetooth driver (V12.0.0.1118, A47), and I get this screen when I launch the installer (shown below) When I choose Modify, everything appears to proceed smoothly, but when I restart the computer, the outdated driver is still present and won't install. If you need them, I've also attached a screenshot of my system specifications and the installation log for this driver:

It seems that you are having trouble updating your Bluetooth driver on your laptop. Here are some steps you can try:

  1. Uninstall the existing Bluetooth driver:

    • Go to the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar)
    • Find the Bluetooth category and expand it
    • Right-click on your Bluetooth device and select "Uninstall device"
    • Make sure to check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device"
    • Click "Uninstall" to confirm
  2. Download the latest Bluetooth driver for your laptop:

    • Go to the Dell website and enter your laptop's service tag to find the correct driver
    • Make sure to select the correct operating system (Windows 10 64-bit)
    • Download the driver and save it to your computer
  3. Install the new Bluetooth driver:

    • Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installation process
    • Follow the prompts and choose "Install" when prompted
    • Restart your computer after the installation is complete

If these steps don't work, you can also try running the installer as an administrator or updating other drivers on your laptop. If the problem persists, you may need to contact Dell support for further assistance.
