Bluetooth Driver won't update to V12.0.0.1118, A47

I am having intermittent breaking up of my Bluetooth earbuds/headset on my laptop that I suspect may be caused by an outdated driver. When I try to install the latest version of the Bluetooth driver (V12.0.0.1118, A47), the update doesn't install on my computer after running the installer, and I am presented with this screen upon opening the installer (shown below) When I select Modify, everything seems to go fine, but upon restarting the machine, the old version of this driver is still showing, and the updated version refuses to install.
