Stack N3048EP-ON with different firmwares

We need to add a switch N3048EP-ON to a existing stack but the stack is on firmware 4.2 and the new switch is on firmware 6.0. I am checking support page but that old firmware is not available to downgrade the switch before connecting it to the cluster.

I read that there is an option to automatically downgrade the switch if it's connected to a stack with older firmware version but I am not sure if there is that high difference between firmwares all would work ok.

What is your suggestions?

Stack Firmware Synchronization

Use the Stack Firmware Synchronization page to control whether the firmware image on a new stack member can be automatically upgraded or downgraded to match the firmware image of the stack master.
To display the Stack Firmware Synchronization page, click System  Stack Management  Stack Firmware Synchronization in the navigation panel.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

The oldest firmware I found is version 6.5.1.31, A00 from May 2, 2018. Dell switches usually update or downgrade their software on their own when they’re grouped together. But, if the versions are very different, it can cause problems or make the system unstable. Since there’s a big gap between versions 4.2 and 6.0, it’s best not to mix them in a group. It’s important to remember this big difference in versions. I have some old software for the S series, but I don’t have the old ones for the N3000 series. A gap this big between versions might mess up the automatic updating.
