U3419W, 2019 MacBook Air, no display
Hello there!
I recently purchased a new MacBook Air (Mid-2019 Model) with 2 USB-C ports.
What I expect
Attaching a USB-C to USB-C cable between will provide power, display and USB hub connections
What I experience
The USB-C to USB-Cable provides power and USB hub connections; but no display.
Details of my setup
I'm running a U3419W with newest firmware (M3B103). I get the error message "No USB Type-C signal from your device" — what could I be doing wrong?
From reading other messages it seems there is some confusion on the exact support and connections needed:

... but these were either about a slightly different model (U3415W) or some edge cases (where the monitor was simultaneously hooked up to both a Mac and a PC). Would love guidance so I can know my best route to troubleshoot

I was having the same issue with a different model MacBook Pro 16" (2019). I was using a Thunderbolt 3 cable, which should have worked but did not.
On a whim, I ordered this cable =
Thunderbolt 3 Cable (3.3Ft/1M/40Gbps), Basevs TB3 Certified USB C 4.0 Cable 20V/5A 100W Supports 1x 5K 60hz or Double 4K 60hz Monitor, External SSD, eGpu (External Gpu), USB-C Docking Station
and it immediately worked for me. This isn't an endorsement for Amazon, just where I happened to find the cable while in quarantine.
If you haven't found a solution, you might give that a whirl.

JaredNova,
Dell did not test/validate the U3419W on the proprietary Apple operating system or hardware. When you check the U3419W driver page, notice we do not include any Apple OS drivers which are needed to facilitate proper function. All we included was an Apple OS U3419W firmware upgrade file. You should read through the U3419W thread on the Apple Forum. If need be, start a new thread out there to get assistance from other Apple users.
