U2415, XPS 8700, goes into PSM
I just bought a Dell computer desktop XPS 8700 with the monitor U2415. After turning on a message appeared on the display: No DP Cable and The display will go into PSM (Power Save Mode) in 5 minutes. The DP cable is correctly connect.

Look at the rear of your XPS 8700. Then look at the picture posted. If you see ports on the bottom (11,12,13), this means that a discrete video card is installed and you cannot use the onboard ports 8 HDMI and 9 DP (DisplayPort). Check this and post back.

Yes, I have a video card, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745, and I see all the ports on the bottom of pc.

So this is your setup =
XPS 8700 GTX 745 DP out --> Dell DP to mDP cable --> U2415 mDP in
You then pressed the U2415 Menu button to open the OSD (On Screen Display), went to Input Source and put the check on Mini DisplayPort?
