G3223Q, no HDMI signal from your device

Hi,

I recently bought G3223Q monitor and it works great with PC either through HDMI port or DP. However, connecting the PS4 (the original version - not slim or a pro) is a different story.

The monitor will display PS4 signal only when I select (through OSD) input source to which PS4 is connected and then turn on the PS4. If during the PS4 startup monitor will turn to sleep mode (to prevent that I need to play within OSD) or is displaying a different source (e.g. PC signal through DP) and then I switch to HDMI source it will say that the device connected to HDMI is not sending any signal (although the monitor can see that the cable is connected to the port).

Troubleshooting done:

  • tried different HDMI cables (including the one in the box)
  • tried 2.0 and 2.1 HDMI cables
  • tried switching HDMI ports on the monitor
  • switched monitor HDMI ports to legacy mode (for HDMI 1.4)
  • tried console mode on the monitor

I've checked on 3 other monitors (different brands) and there was no issue.

G3223Q can see that the cable is connected to HDMI port but somehow it doesn't handshake the signal after switching from different source. I know this is a software issue because if I turn on PIP or PBP mode through OSD, the monitor will read both sources - PC connected through DP and PS4 with HDMI and in fact will display PS4 either in main or additional screen.

Have anyone experienced the same issue ?

Thanks.

I just bought the G3223Q and have the same problem. Did you find a solution? I also have no sound coming out of the headphone jack with the PS4. I'm pretty sure that the the HDMI cable is ok. I plugged it into another monitor and I get video and sound instantly.
