G3223D, firmware M3C104 not detecting monitor
Dell 32 Gaming Monitor G3223D
Hello I have two G3223S displays and want to update the firmware to disable the blue backlight. But the firmware tool dont detecting a monitor. Already try to update from different computers and notebooks.
PC -> DP cable -> G3223D
PC -> USB-C cable -> G3223D
When connecting the USB-C cable, Windows sees it as "billboard device". The Device Manager of course detects the G3223D via DP cable (Dell G3223D (DisplayPort_HDR)).
This post dont help: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/monitors/g3223d-firmware-m3c102-24n58-not-detecting-monitor/647f9f7ff4ccf8a8de4548f7?commentId=647f9fd6f4ccf8a8de4c3ba1

Problem solved by enabling ddc/ci and use usb-c only (without dp)

To receive assistance from Dell support agents they need to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private G3223D Service Tags with them.
Did you download 5rrk8, M3C104, A02-00 ?

@HALi1337 Apologies. I thought that they all shipped with DDC/CI On so incorrectly assumed it was already on? At least that is what the User's Guide shows =
