XPS 9310 (2021) with Ubuntu 20.04 (Dev Edition) use of the IR camera
I just got my 9310 dev edition, I was able to configure the fingerprint authentication right away, it was already in the factory Ubuntu OS, but I cannot find a way to use the IR camera for Facial authentication. I know about Howdy but thought maybe there is something already configured in the system? Thanks

I managed to setup howdy, however according to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AG_RST6o1Y I should see red flashing from IR sensors. I have trouble unlocking the device when working in poor light (dark).
Am I doing something wrong? I can't see IR name anywhere when I list device:

I have dell precission 5550, i had to use /dev/video2 in howdy config to use IR camera.
Just list all devices using sudo v4l2-ctl --list-devices. For each device listed , ffplay and see if IR light starts blinking. eg:ffplay /dev/video2 . Use that device in your howdy config using sudo howdy config.
