WWAN in Latitude 5590

Hey all.  So I have a Latitude 5590 and I bought a Sierra AirPrime EM7430 card.  Two questions.  Is there an easy way to connect the two cables because, boy, I've found them hard to make the connection.  Second, I don't have the metal bar that is supposed to hold the cables in place - does it need that bar to make it work?  Because I thought I got the cables connected and powered up but Win 11 never shows me the WWAN option when you click down in the taskbar (where it shows the wifi and stuff).  I assume that means the card is not connected?  Or what am I missing?
