the laptop burst and entire room caught on fire

user had kept his laptop to charge and due to this being a faulty piece Dell latitude 5280, the laptop burst and his entire room caught on fire. More than half the room is completely burned down causing damages amounting to upwards 2-3 lakhs (have attached pics and videos to show the extent of damages). Fortunately no one was hurt. However, now who is supposed to pay for these damages?

Why is not dell responsible for a defective laptop?  I have used computers forever and never considered the computer to be a fire hazard.  We are not buying second class equipment and I have invoice with a high price tag to prove it.
