Dell Latitude 7490 Weird Loud White Noise and Distorted Screen
I have been facing a weird issue with my Dell Latitude 7490
- my screen would suddenly distort and the laptop will make a loud white noise (similar to the one happening with CRT monitors when there is no signal)
- this happens usually after something is playing on my speaker
- happened twice this week when i was talking on Microsoft Teams using my laptop mic and speaker
- all keys and buttons are non responsive except the power button
- i need to long press the power button to switch off my laptop. That is the only solution
- it is worth mentioning that my laptop inbuilt speakers is giving squeaky sound if the volume is high
please see the below pictures for reference. I would appreciate someone from Dell looking at this issue

I have similar problem. Noise is similar and the screen looks little bit different.

I have had the same problem, but do check the connection between all the ports, due to loose connection between some circuits this problem is happening. Also, make sure to use static preventing devices to keep all the parts safe from static shock. Hope this helps

You may experience what can be described as static noise from the built-in speakers of select Inspiron laptops when playing music. This can also be observed on headphones connected to the computer.
