Can I display my laptop screen on my monitor and charge my laptop with the same cable using these?
ThinkPad USB-C with USB-A. Dell Latitude 5430. Samsung F24T452F 24 (doesn't have a USB-C port). ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A.

Not all notebooks with USB-C ports can take charging over them, and not all USB-C ports support video out. If you want an answer, you'll need to provide the notebook system model.

@ejn63 I had issues describing the problem due to the character limit.

A quick reading of the monitor specs show HDMI and DP inputs -- you will need a separate cable for that (beyond the one that connects the notebook to the docking station, which should serve as the charge cable as well).

I bought a DisplayPort to USB-C cable. It displays my laptop screen on my monitor, but doesn't charge my laptop.
