XPS 1530 6-Cell Battery Shortage...not real or resolved in 24 hours

​This morning, Dell surprised me with a new shortage...the 6-cell battery. After several attempts to confirm this, since yesterday they said all my parts were ready other than the display plastic, someone from Dell called me and explained that the 6-cell is not REALLY in short supply. It was an error....but he then said "it should be resolved within 24 hours." Maybe they were just sitting in an off-site warehouse and someone forgot to ship them in! Anyway, if anyone is telling you about such a shortage, ask them to confirm they are REALLY in short supply. Hopefully, you will get the same response...24 hours. Let me know!​

​FYI - As I have said in a few other posts, the online "builder" seems to suggest that the processor selected will have the most direct impact on EXPECTED part delays. For example, if you choose the 7700 or 9300 processor you will NOT see a delay listed for the 6-cell battery. However, you WILL see such a delay suggested if you choose any other processor. One of them also shows a delay for the 1900x1200 display...whereas none of the others mention such an issue. Logically, even if the builder is not entirely accurate, SOMETHING must be making the delays appear differently by processor...unless the builder is just guessing!!​
