Windows 10 shutdown problem
Hi
I recently replaced my hard drive and installed a fresh copy of windows 10 . the problem is that now my windows wouldn't shut down properly screen goes blank but power light and fan keeps on and when my PC goes to sleep it does the same as well in both the cases I have to manually turn off the computer by pressing down the power button for 10 seconds and restarting it. I have tried almost everything there's on the internet but my problem still persists. Does it have anything to do with legacy or UEFI mode?.
Thanks.

Its inspiron 3537, core i5, 4th gen, 4gb ram, 8670m radeon graphics. I've installed all the drivers don't know about the order also did a fresh windows instillation but the issue persists. is it some thing related to my hard drive because this came up from the day I replaced my hard drive. My previous one was formatted as a MBR but I formatted my new one as a GPT. Does it have some thing to do with it?

It's difficult to advise without knowing the system model and whether or not all the required drivers were loaded in the correct order (in particular, the chipset drivers).
What model system is this (i.e., Inspiron 5521, etc.)?

Hi STEAMBOY,
Does the system restart / hibernate fine? Does it resume from auto / manual sleep modes?
Win 10 needs to be built in GPT partition.
Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/1n3X2po - enter the service tag and download the BIOS, update and restart the machine and check.
Also, reinstall the chipset drivers and video drivers and check.
Restart and check in safe mode - http://bit.ly/1LHcO2c
Enable the built in admin account and check - http://bit.ly/2gX7qE7
Uninstall the video drivers from device manager and try a shutdown and check if it works. Then try reinstalling the video drivers from the vendor site - http://bit.ly/2eGO8QD
Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.
Let us know if you have any other queries.
