Transferring files from desk top to new lap top
Hi,
I'm looking for assistance on how to transfer the following from my Dell Dimension 2350 to my Dell Studio 15:
1. Files
2. Explorer bookmarked favorites
3. Google Earth (I have many placemarks that I don't want to lose).
4. Email address book in Outlook and also email messages if that is possible.
For the transfer, I want to use my Western Digital external drive, which has plenty of space.
Any assistance the anyone can provide is greatly apppreciated. I've not done this before, so detailed, explicit directions are greatly appreciated.

1) Assuming you're speaking of data files, simply copy them to the WD drive, connect the drive to the new machine, and copy them from the WD drive to the appropriate locations on the new machine.
